Napole Pizzeria
It’s no secret that there are plenty of places to find a great pizza around Edinburgh in the centre of town. However, if you live near Corstorphine and don’t fancy trekking right into the centre then boy have I got the place for you.
Napole Pizzeria is a small family-owned business that offers pizza, fresh pasta dishes and more. Although they do offer takeaway/collection, if you get the chance to sit inside (or outside) the restaurant then I highly recommend you do so. The restaurant has a wonderful homely feel and for sunny days they also have a great outdoor seating area where they blast some music and allow you to dine al fresco!

From your classics to some more out there flavour combinations, they had a great selection of pizza with something for everyone. I ended up opting for the ‘La Bufalina’ which is a veggie white-based pizza topped with buffalo mozzarella, cherry tomatoes, pesto cream and a sprinkle of walnuts. I also added on an additional topping of burrata…because why not!?
The crust was exactly how I like my pizza, soft and cloud-like with a slight char from the pizza oven. The pizza was creamy, the tomatoes were beautifully sweet and the walnuts added a nice crunch with every other bite — truly perfect if you ask me.

The other pizza pictured is the ‘La Patanella’ which was another white-based pizza. This one was topped with Italian pork sausage, roast potatoes and a touch of fresh rosemary.
To dip the crusts in, I also ordered some pesto aioli to share between two people which was insanely good. All three dip options (they also have garlic mayo and spicy nduja mayo) were right up my street so I’ll be trying the other next time.

Overall, it’s a super wee spot for those of you on this side of Edinburgh but also worth travelling further out for in my opinion. I’d say it’s slightly more expensive than your regular Italian restaurant but fully worth paying the extra few pounds for the food alone, but also the service and vibes. A definite win for local, independent restaurants!
