McDonalds
If I’m being totally honest, I never thought I’d see the day when I’d be posting about new menu items at McDonalds. However, here I am and boy it’s been a while since I’ve been intrigued about new items, never mind been to a branch.
It’s common knowledge that McDonald’s updates its menu regularly with the same items coming back into rotation regularly. This time, it seems they wanted to change things up slightly with some new wraps, a slightly new version of their mozzarella sticks and a new flavoured McFlurry — all of which are available now across the UK and Ireland.
The new additions include: Chicken Caesar Wrap, Spicy Sriracha Wrap, Mozzarella Bites, Double Chocolate Pie and a Biscoff McFlurry.
Out of the above, below you’ll find some quick first impressions on all of the new menu items I’ve tried so far:
Chicken Caesar Wrap
This was by far my favourite and was much better than I expected. The Caesar sauce was pretty tasty and the crispy onions added an extra crunch and a good amount of flavour. My only criticism is that the bacon wasn’t crispy but this comment applies across the board!
Spicy Sriracha Wrap
This wrap was lacking flavour. The sauce had a nice kick from the sauce but ultimately the wrap was basically empty and was just chicken, lettuce and hot sauce…A.K.A nothing special!
Mozzarella Bites
If you’ve ever tried the mozzarella sticks McDonald’s used to sell, these won’t be anything new. They’re exactly the same but come in a smaller shape for the same price. They also come with the same rich tomato sauce too!
Biscoff McFlurry
Biscoff lovers, this one is for you! A standard McFluffy topped with Biscoff crumbs and a drizzle of caramel can’t go a miss. Would definitely get this one again and hope it stays around.
Can we also take a moment for the new sauces they have? Both the chipotle mayo and garlic mayo are great new additions to McDonald’s dip game!
If you’re planning on visiting McDonalds, need some hangover scran or you’re just intrigued at some of the new items then I’d say go ahead and give them a shot. The chicken Caesar wrap was a winner, and I’ll likely be getting it again before it presumably disappears from the menu.
