3 Incredible Cocktails Bars to try in Edinburgh
If you’re looking for the best place to catch up over a cocktail, then these three spots need to be on your radar. Each, in my opinion, is great for different reasons. But…one thing they have in common is that they all serve equally great cocktails.
Johnnie Walker Bar (1820 Roof Top Bar)
The 1820 rooftop bar, which can be found on the top floor of the Johnnie Walker experience, is my go-to spot to impress someone who’s never been to Edinburgh. It’s a bonus if you love whisky/whisky cocktails but don’t worry if not as they do have other spirits to choose from…and just wait until you see the flavour combinations they have on offer!
The Cocktail Mafia
Another favourite spot of mine to grab a cocktail is The Cocktail Mafia. With super decadent, Art Deco-inspired interiors, this is the kind of bar you could sit in all night long. They have an impressive drinks list, knowledgeable staff and the most unique serving glasses/vessels.
Tonic
My last recommendation has got to be Bar Tonic which some have described as an Edinburgh institution. Every year they change the theme of their menu and this year we have “Back to School”. Not only will grabbing a few drinks here be a fab night out but it will also take you on a trip down memory lane. Their menu is super nostalgic and the thought that has gone into each drink is insane — a must-visit for all cocktail lovers!
